I used this in a mince curry. Everyone loved it, even Bob who doesn’t like too spicy food. But then, it depends on the spices, doesn’t it?
What screaming and shouting to collect the ball! The girl in black got to it first. She’d climbed up before the boy in blue reached the steps again.
We have been given a basil plant by Guy and Retta. They had to buy a new one because the wind this morning rolled their previous plant into the bay. They have no mosquitos and swear it’s due to this plant. We’ll see if it works.
The launch crane is huge. In front of the boat is the lad with the remote control. He manoeuvres the yachts as if they are toys.
The lad helping to launch the boat decided to give Bob a helping hand with the last of the anti-fouling paint..
As I was checking my Internet, I sensed some chirping and looked up to find a swallow (I think) sky-diving me. He and his mate are building a nest. I can’t hear, or see, any nestlings but the parents chirp into the nest. (I wish I knew more about bird behaviour.) When one arrives, the other flies off aiming for my head – very aggressive little creatures. If I’m very still they disregard me.
It’s taken me two days to get this photo. It’s great to see them in mid-air, changing places, but I didnt manage to click that. So, the boatyard is full of men and women preparing their sail-homes, and in this corner, about six feet away from my desk, these two are busy with theirs. Good luck to them.
And still working!
Bob is sanding and polishing. I’m cleaning, dusting, shopping but it’s warm enough to wear only a vest and shorts. Trousers and shirt in the much cooler evenings.
