Shopping and walking in the town with my brother and nephew. We were here fifty years ago when I was a teenager and Gurmeet a toddler. Judging from the way my mother treats us, nothing much has changed.
Glasgow Cathedral from the Necropolis (City of the Death)
Sunday 20 March 2016: Glasgow Women’s Library, Necropolis Walk.
I lived near this important cemetery when I was a child but had never been in it. As we walked towards the Bridge of Sighs the guide (next picture) who had ticked my name said to me, ‘I recognised your name because I took your book, Finding Takri, from the library to read. I was on the bus travelling up north. I enjoyed it very much.’ What a lovely start to the walk for me. It was a sunny afternoon too. Perfect.
