Sunday 14 February 2016: Testing out new writing software
Yesterday, when Deeven and Nimitta went home I worked through a new software tutorial. Then I watched ‘The Voice’. Good fun.
The large white boat-shape is Bob’s boat sailing at 5.5 knots. The pink boat that looks as if it’s leading is Spirit V going at 7 knots. Tomorrow Mystique Soul will be trailing.
The fleet!
Saturday 13 February 2016: Grandkids visit and tracking a slow boat to Galapagos.
Yesterday, I went to a talk given by Ajay Close about her book ‘A Petrol Scented Spring’. It’s about suffragettes and has graphic details of force feeding. Then, I was at the Leisuredrome for Deeven and Nimitta, who visited today.
Mystique Soul, with Bob, is sailing at 6.3 knots, but Spirit V is doing 11.5 knots (next photo -look at the caption) – it’s 56ft long whereas Bob is on a 45ft boat. They must have more sails up, or they might be motoring!!
Friday 12th February 2016: Bob on Mystique Soul sailing to Galapagos Islands
It’s 850 nautical miles and should take about 8 days.
Yesterday, I went to pick up Bob’s car from the garage, but it wouldn’t start and that was the problem it was in for anyway. It needs a new ECU and they’d tried to repair it as a replacement will take months. It seems it’s a common problem with Vauxhalls.
